Fighter (1998)

This early basic game has controls that mimic early twin stick shooters. One set of keys control your movement, while another controls which direction you fire.

All similarities to shooters end there though, as the moment you fire the game freezes while it draws the little laser as it crosses the screen to check for a hit.

Ultimately, the limitations of how it was programmed makes the game an interesting oddity, but not very playable.
