Stardate 2140.2: Crusade in Space

Crusade in Space is a single player, mouse controlled game of space exploration and conquest.

The game starts by displaying a series of short sentences, one at a time, on the screen. "Finally. The people of your world are under one ruler. YOU The Emperor! Now your scientists have given you spaceflight. Your armies are training for planetary invasions! An entire galaxy awaits your rule! As you begin your CRUSADE IN SPACE". All of which neatly sets the tone for this strategy / resource management game.

The player takes control of a small fleet around a single star in a big galaxy. The object of the game is to build more and bigger fleets, strategize, and conquer it all. Planets can be tasked to produce ships, troops and planetary defences. Fleets can be ordered to attack nearby systems and once the opposition is defeated in space transports can be sent to conquer the planets.
In game time is based on a stardate system which can be frozen or sped up as required. This enables the player to send fleets across large distances, or construct capital ships quickly in real time.
