About this game
In 2017 a documentary was released that followed a math teacher whose The Price Is Right fandom led to the "perfect bid." In that documentary, Ted reveals he programmed his version of The Price Is Right in BASIC. This was after the highly disappointing GameTek version, released in 1990.
In 2022, I reached out to Ted, who was willing to share his game files with the project to ensure they were archived and preserved, and in the process, allowing them to be enjoyed by everyone.
This version of The Price Is Right contains the exact prizes and prices given out on the show until 1994, when he stopped updating it.
The game supports up to 9 possible contestants, with each person either starting on Contestant's Row, or eventually being called down. The game contains over 50 games, the showcase showdown, the showcase, and the bidding game.
Each game is self-explanatory, and the order in which you will receive the games is determined by a number seed chosen at the beginning of the game.
