About this game
Boogaloopers is a space arcade game. The player controls a Boogalooper ship, and enters the void between universes to eliminate Boogas.
The player's ship leaves a tail behind as it travels around the screen. If the player forms a loop with that tail, it will destroy enemies caught inside that loop. The player gets a multiplier for destroying multiple enemies with a single loop. The tail is broken if anything touches it, and the player's ship loses armor if the ship collides with anything. If the player runs out of armor, the game is over. There is also a time limit in each stage. If the time limit runs out, the player moves to the next stage, each remaining Booga damaging the player. There are bonuses that will appear randomly, such as supertail (tail cannot be broken), freeze (enemies stop), and armor (2 extra armor).
There are not just Boogas in the void. There are also Zigger Rats (move erratically), Arcs (nearby Arcs fire beams between them), Pulse Splitters (constantly split on their own), Darters (fire bad music at the player) and more. Only the Boogas need to be eliminated to complete the level, but other enemies can provide bonus points and multipliers.
Boogaloopers was distributed as shareware. The shareware version is restricted to 10 minute games, and has a nag screen on startup.
