About this game
Ciné Studio is dedicated to a rather unusual topic. It invites players to immerse themselves in the world of filmmaking and learn about the diverse professions essential to creating a film. Essentially, it's a crash course in the fundamentals of the industry, using a virtual studio as an example to explain how everything works.
The game features nearly twenty different professions: director, producer, screenwriter, makeup artist, film critic, and many others. Together, they form thematic information blocks, each containing relevant reference information and a series of practical exercises for "memorization through application." In the camera angle exercise, for example, the player must correctly match the names of the camera angles from a list with projections on a diagram and photo examples. Successful completion of a block is noted on our studio visitor's roadmap, and mastering the required number of topics can unlock access to a super-task, covering several film themes and professions simultaneously. Typically, it offers a free space for experimentation with a limited set of "tools," as well as clearly defined initial and final scene versions. For example, if we've successfully explored framing, camera and image movement, working with lighting, camera angles, and lenses, the super-task will show several initial and final shots of scenes. The intermediate "path" between them must be reconstructed by correctly defining the characteristics of the available tools, as well as their position and sequence of movement on the diagram.
