About this game
Description provided by old-games.ru:
"American Revolution" is a further development of the idea of the slightly earlier educational strategy "Discover the World II" from the same authors, and "development" in several respects at once. If earlier we were engaged in navigation and discovered new lands, carrying out tasks of our beloved monarch, now we simply live (or rather, try to survive) in one of the colonies founded on such lands: the time of the game covers almost two hundred years of the early history of the northeastern part of the United States, from 1630 to 1820. And if in the world of the era of the Great Geographical Discoveries reconstructed by Entrex Software, although we chose one or another character from four proposed options, but this choice did not entail any tangible consequences, now the life and work of each of our potential protagonists turn out to be completely different from the fate of the others! We can say that in terms of genre, "American Revolution" is not only a strategy, but also a historical simulator with elements of a role-playing game. And instead of quiz questions, we are faced with much more fateful situations of choosing one or another decision that affects the future life of the heroes: in other words, the educational element turns out to be much less intrusive and obvious.
