About this game
Edge of the Abyss is a short text adventure built using the Text Adventure Generator Runner (TAG) system.
The story is set in the fictional Abyssville. With oil reserves running out the world's energy companies created a man-made singularity as a way of generating the power they needed. This has had unforeseen side effects and they are not good.
The player takes the role of Ms. Jennifer Edge who is sent by Archbishop Weary to recover an item that is said to be miraculous and to hold great power.
Points are accumulated as the player progresses, the maximum number of points that can be scored is fifty. The game has hint system, an optional full walk-through, twenty locations, twenty objects and can be completed in forty moves.
